One

One is often referred to as Creator, Emptiness, God, Source, The Absolute, The Infinite, The Void, What Is… In truth, however, One is the incomprehensible. It cannot be named and can only be pointed at.

One (the incomprehensible) is all there is. It is what you are and can be conceptualized as direct experience (the revelation of what you are) and awakening (the revelation that separateness is an illusion and the self does not exist).

Direct experience and awakening refer to revelation, not experience.

Direct experience is the unknowing (collapsing / evaporation) of everything that you think you are (a self) and the revelation of what you truly are – One (the incomprehensible). Awakening or waking up is the corresponding revelation that separateness is an illusion and the self does not exist.

One is incomprehensible. It is unconditional, impersonal, unmediated and contextless. In other words, it is spaceless, timeless, selfless and mindless. One is non-local, non-separateness and cannot be named. One is unknowable by the self

One is all there is – it is what you are. It is what you are seeking. It is what is looking out from behind your eyes.

One and Consciousness

One is incomprehensible, unconditional, impersonal and unmediated. One is all there is. One is what you are!

One is unlimited and contextless – spaceless, timeless, selfless and mindless. It is ever-present and unchanging and often referred to as Emptiness, ISness and What Is. One is non-local, non-separateness. Conceptually, One is direct experience (the revelation of what you are) and awakening (the corresponding revelation that separateness is an illusion and the self does not exist). One is revelation, not experience.

Consciousness is the relative or contracted awareness. In other words, the experience of self / separateness in the context of space and time. One is incomprehensible – nameless and contextless awareness. One is not an experience.

Just how One (not an experience) appears as separateness / the self (experience) is a mystery.

The self / separateness is an illusion. The self (the I, me and you) does not really exist. There is only One (the incomprehensible) arising as what is appearing in consciousness / experience. In other words, separateness / the self, is One arising and appearing as separateness / the self.

Self-consciousness is the relative awareness of local or personal separateness. It is not possible for the self to experience One. The self is already One

When the self collapses / evaporates One is revealed. Conceptually, One is direct experience (the revelation of what you truly are) and awakening (the revealing that separateness is an illusion and the self does not exist).

The revelation of One (Direct experience and awakening) is the end of the (illusory) self and the end of seeking.

Waking Up As One explores direct experience (the revelation of what you are) and awakening (the revealing that separateness is an illusion and the self does not exist) and aims to demystify spiritual seeking.

Notes

The seeming paradox of One (the incomprehensible) is that whatever appears in consciousness is One arising as what is appearing. Separateness / the self is One arising as separateness / the self. Separateness / the self, then, is an illusion and does not exist. There is only One. You are One.

Separateness / the self is One (the incomprehensible) arising and appearing as what is comprehensible. Separateness / the self is the illusion or dream of One.

Direct experience, awakening and One are secular terms.

Given that One is incomprehensible, anything that is said, or thought about it is only a pointing at it and is not One.
